If you’re a fan of the hit Netflix show “Bridgerton,” you’ve probably already binged your way through the first season and eagerly await the release of the second. One of the most memorable scenes from the show is undoubtedly the steamy carriage scene between Daphne Bridgerton (played by Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings (played by Rege-Jean Page).
Recently, we had the opportunity to sit down with some of the cast members of “Bridgerton” and ask them about their thoughts on filming that iconic carriage scene. Their responses were nothing short of hilarious.
Phoebe Dynevor, who plays Daphne Bridgerton, couldn’t help but laugh when asked about filming the intimate scene. “It was definitely a bit awkward at first,” she admitted. “But Rege-Jean and I have great chemistry on screen, so once we got into the groove of things, it all just felt natural.”
Rege-Jean Page, who plays the dashing Duke of Hastings, had a similar reaction. “I mean, it’s not every day you find yourself in a carriage with a beautiful woman,” he joked. “But Phoebe is a pro, and we both knew what we were getting into when we signed on for this show.”
Adjoa Andoh, who plays Lady Danbury, the Duke’s wise and witty mentor, had a different take on the scene. “I must say, I did have a good chuckle when I read that part in the script,” she said. “But hey, it’s all part of the job. And I must say, Phoebe and Rege-Jean really nailed it.”
It’s clear that the cast of “Bridgerton” had a fun time filming the carriage scene, and their chemistry on screen is undeniable. Fans of the show can’t get enough of the steamy romance between Daphne and the Duke, and it’s safe to say that this scene will go down in TV history as one of the most iconic moments from the show.
